Public Health Care

As a company based in British Columbia, Global has a concrete understanding of the province’s health system thanks to our varied experiences in working directly with all of BC’s health authorities, the Ministry of Health, BC Ambulance Service, and other essential health services agencies.

Global has experience working closely with each of the six provincial health authorities by having project managed the ED Protocol Initiative and the Current Practice Indicator Project under the guidance of the Provincial Health Services Authority. Additionally, Global has consulted externally on specific projects with both Vancouver Coastal (as part of BC’s Smallpox Activation Response Plan Template project) and Fraser Health (on their Pandemic Influenza Preparedness Planning and Implementation project). By virtue of this work, Global has established strong working relationships with representatives at all levels of British Columbia’s health authorities.

Equally robust is Global’s familiarity with the BC Ambulance Service. With a former BC Ambulance Medical Advisory Board Member and Educator on our consulting team, Global is well informed with respect to the responsibilities and operation of BCAS. Furthermore, as part of our automatic external defibrillator (AED) distribution initiatives, we liaise on a regular basis with several local ambulance stations.

Global has worked closely with the Ministry of Health to assist it in integrating the 2004 Canadian Smallpox Contingency Plan into a provincial framework, which resulted in the writing and approval of a Smallpox Activation Response Plan Template for British Columbia.
