Automated External Defibrillators

In Canada, 35,000 to 45,000 people die of sudden cardiac arrest each year. Early defibrillation is the only effective treatment for sudden cardiac arrest. For every one minute delay in defibrillation, the survival rate of a cardiac arrest victim decrease by 7 to 10%. After more than 12 minutes of ventricular fibrillation, the survival rate of adults is less than 5%.

LIFEPAK CR Plus

Medtronic created the LIFEPAK CR Plus automated external defibrillator (AED) for the first person at the scene of a sudden cardiac arrest to use. Designed for the minimally trained rescuer, the semi-automatic CR Plus requires just three steps to give a potenially lifesaving defibrillation shock, while the fully automatic CR Plus requires just two steps.

LIFEPAK 500

The LIFEPAK 500 automated external defibrillator is designed to be used by first responders to cardiac emergencies. This affordable, rugged device is extremely portable at only seven pounds (3.2kg). Low maintenance requirements and intuitive operation make it ideal product for infrequent AED users.

Powerheart G3 Pro

The Powerheart AED G3 Pro is a fully equipped automated external defibrillator (AED) for medical professionals that comes with a color display, 3-lead ECG monitoring capability, and manual defibrillation override. It's Rescue Ready technology self-tests all main components (battery, hardware, software, and pads) daily. It completes a partial charge of the high-voltage electronics weekly, and a full charge monthly. It calculates electrical impedance and if subsequent shocks are necessary, while its proprietary STAR biphasic technology escalates the energy to deliver therapy at an appropriate, higher level.

AED Wall Cabinet

Having trained rescuers and a highly visible, AED in your facility can help save precious minutes and improve survival rates for cardiac arrest victims. To improve visibility and access to the unit, GMS offers a variety of well-marked cabinets to house your AED.

GMS carries both Cardiac Sciences and Medtronic wall cabinets, each are equipped with an alarm to alert bystanders a person is suffering from SCA.
